Environmental commitment

Trinity Energy Storage is firmly committed to the European decarbonization strategy and the fight against climate change, where renewable energy storage will be a key piece in ensuring the security of energy supply.

DECARBONIZATION PLAN

Trinity Energy Storage Decarbonization Plan is based on 9 principles:

  1. Innovation and Collaboration: Lead innovation in clean energy storage collaborating with other companies, institutions, and government agencies to drive the development of sustainable solutions.
  2. Transition to Renewable Sources: Prioritize investment in renewable energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and decrease CO2 emissions associated with energy generation.
  3. Energy Efficiency: Implement measures to improve energy efficiency in all the company operations, including process optimization, equipment upgrades, and promoting responsible consumption practices.
  4. Electrification of Fleets and Equipment: Promote the electrification of the vehicle fleet and machinery used in operations, replacing internal combustion vehicles with hybrid/electric vehicles and adopting more efficient technologies.
  5. Assessment and Analysis of Activity Impact: Control the affection to the environment related to Trinity Energy Storage's activities.
  6. Objectives: Set clear and measurable objectives to reduce impact, with short, medium, and long-term goals.
  7. Transparency: Provide transparent information about progress in emission reductions and results achieved under the decarbonization plan, involving stakeholders and society.
  8. Training and Awareness: staff trained in sustainability and awareness about the importance of decarbonization. Encouraging to participate in the implementation of eco-efficient measures.
  9. Monitoring and Review: Establish a system for periodic monitoring and review of the decarbonization plan to evaluate its effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve the established objectives.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE

  • Installation of Solar Panels: This installation allows 69% of the electricity consumption at the Marismas facilities to be self-consumed (operational since June 2024).
  • Renewal of Trinity's vehicle fleet to zero-emission vehicles (40% renewed by 2025).
  • Implementation of Sustainable Mobility Practices. TES has provided a shuttle service available to Madrid employees (operational in 2024).
  • Redesign of the gas emissions reporting system. (operational in 2024).
  • Carbon footprint monitoring (operational in 2024).
  • Participation in forums and organizations focused on hydrogen development and energy transition.
  • Divulgation of Trinity Energy Storage's objectives to local administrations.

OBJECTIVES

Trinity Energy Storage is committed to the European climate change strategy with the objective of promoting renewable energy storage projects.

Three lines are currently in development:

  • Green hydrogen storage.
  • Renewable electrical energy storage.
  • Efficient transition from natural gas.
