MARISMAS UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE
Underground storages are essential infrastructures with energy reserves to adjust supply and demand and cope with consumption peaks that may occur throughout the year due to seasonal variations or other factors.
Since 2012, Trinity Energy Storage has been operating the "Marismas" Underground Natural Gas Storage Concession, located in the province of Huelva. This asset is part of the Spanish gas system and includes two depleted gas fields that have been converted into underground gas storage.
Trinity injects and extracts gas from Marismas underground wells, drying and odorizing the gas for injection into Enagás' gas pipeline network.
The Maximum Operating Capacity Recognized in provision 1172 of BOE no. 30 of 2014 is 1615 GWh
